A Message from the Founder:
After working in the Home Care field for more than 10 years; I realized the need for a greater standard of care and knew that I had to position myself to be able to provide it. I knew I had to bring about the change that was needed in Home Care.
I was raised with my nephew who was needs assistance with daily activities . Often I would assist my sister with caring for him; but it wasn't until I started working with other individuals with intellectual disabilities that I would soon find out that everyone wasn't being cared for the way they deserved.
One client in particular inspired me to start my own Home Care Agency. When I began working with her, I quickly realized that as it related to her level of care she was being neglected. She had very little clothing and only one pair of shoes. The only time she left the house was to attend doctor's appointments. I asked myself, how many caregivers has she had? How often does the provider come to check on her. At which point does anyone for that matter think about her. I believe everyone deserves to have a quality life regardless of any physical or cognitive disorder. I brought my concerns to my supervisor's attention, and eventually we were able to goon outings. She was so excited and grateful for the change.
Home Care to me is about actually caring for the clients and individuals you are serving. When you choose Humanity Personal Care Services you can be assured you or your loved ones will be taken care of as if they were my own family. It’s more than a business to me it’s personal.
